Ohiwa is situated 30km east of Whakatane (30 minute drive) and 11km west of Opotiki (10 minute drive) in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, in New Zealand's North Island.​
​From Whakatane: Follow signs to Opotiki, turn left on Ohiwa Beach Road (30kms), right at one lane bridge, first drive on beach.
From Opotiki: Follow signs to Whakatane, turn right on Ohiwa Beach Road (11kms), right at one lane bridge, first drive on beach.
